This series of 15 classes are a detailed look at the life and times of Jeremiah the prophet. We will especially consider the “remnant” that God gave to Jeremiah as pupils and supporters in very evil times after the death of Josiah. We will see the incredible sufferings and unpopularity of Jeremiah and hopefully be inspired to faithfully represent Yahweh our God in the last days that we live in. This is the most recorded personal life amongst all the prophets as we have his conversations with God, complaints , prayers , lamentations and even resignations. No wonder Hebrews 11 devotes one whole verse to Jeremiah:- “And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:” (Heb 11:36)
Let us be inspired by Jeremiah and his friends, and warned by the fate of his opponents.
